Fellowship Development Coordinator, Csm Grants

**Description**
**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):
- Work with stakeholders to ensure information on new Post-doctoral researchers is shared with them in a timely manner
- Develop and provide resources and tools for recruits related to external funding and fellowships in a timely and efficient manner
- Work with stakeholders across the faculty, they will administer internal funding programs, as appropriate, targeted to Post-doctoral researchers
- In partnership with the Fellowship Development Officer, they will develop and host seminars, information sessions, and workshops focused on skill development and education for fellowship and grant funding
- Work to expand the internal peer review process and resources, including potential mock peer review opportunities, for applicants to external fellowship competitions
- Responsible for networking and event planning and logistics targeted to postdocs to ensure a strong community across the faculty
- Work closely with stakeholders both within and external to the faculty to ensure Postdocs receive the support they seek to achieve their research funding goals
- Attend Postdoc events across the university to network and ensure a solid foundational knowledge of all the different offices and units involved in supporting Post-doctoral researchers
- Provide navigational support and information to Postdocs, Faculty and, Staff that reach out to the office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to ensure the overall goal of increased funding success for Postdoctoral researchers within CSM
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree, required. Postgraduate training in a related area is an advantage
- Demonstrated experience working with post-doctoral researchers
- Minimum of 1-2 years related experience in academic health research
- The ability to comfortably give effective presentations is required
- Those with strong knowledge of the UofC research landscape, including research administrative units, given priority
- Program planning experience is necessary
- Proven mastery of English grammar, excellent oral/written communication is required
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities, act decisively and to exercise initiative and judgment on a wide range of issues, using discretion and maintaining confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team, and adapt to multiple competing priorities
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
