**About the job**

**Grant Writing & Management Responsibilities**
- Create and maintain a calendar of activities to support grant project management.
- Lead the writing of all grants, effectively telling the story of Carbon Upcycling.
- Work with external grant writers or advisors (as necessary), submitting reports, scope of work revisions, and communicating questions and updates as needed.
- Lead all scope of work revisions with inputs from project team members, serve as final author/editor, and contribute to solutions-oriented grant management.
- Work with Grants Lead on all grant tracking, reporting and compliance efforts in concert with project team members to streamline the development of the narrative, manage compliance, and sequence approvals.

**Project Management Responsibilities**
- Design and maintain a timeline for all major grant projects and efforts to optimize effectiveness and alignment with organizational priorities and minimize conflicts between deliverables.
- Use tools to monitor team capacity and FTEs in collaboration with senior leadership. Report grants project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary.
- Serve as liaison between team members on all major grant projects and efforts to ensure well-coordinated deliverables, schedules, and meeting plans.
- Ensure the grant projects have identified team members, regular check-in meetings, etc..
- Coordinate grant workflow processes and scheduling with senior leadership. Plan review and approval cycles for grants and any needed collateral.
- Maintain grant project folders and manage key files and archiving of all grant project materials. Organize and manage a library of key data and reference materials.
- Utilize best practices for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks. Develop new strategies and processes for effective project management across the organization.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with any contractors or consultants used in the grant writing process.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- 5+ years of project management experience:

- Experience in managing concurrent grant projects.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in writing grants large dollar value grants (>$20MM) and project reports to funders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing demands to meet deadlines and project specifications
- Ability to build strong relationships with team members to get information needed for grants
- Ability to quickly learn the technical and commercial aspects of our business
- Familiarity with publication processes
- Bachelor’s degree
