Our Talent, Training, & Culture (TT&C) team is looking for a fantastic person who is energized by employee engagement and administration to join us as an HR, Payroll & Benefit Coordinator. **About the Role**:
The HR, Payroll & Benefit Coordinator (HPB Coordinator) is a people-focused stickler for the details. This position is responsible for biweekly payroll processing, health & benefit program administration, reporting and supporting TT&C with related projects and initiatives. But most importantly, RFRK’s HR Coordinator will have a great sense of humour and the ability to interact professionally at all times with all employees.

**Some of the things you’ll get paid to do**:
**Payroll Processing**
- Oversee all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensuring that payroll data is collected, input, processed, balanced, and verified
- Ensuring all hourly personnel, weekly timesheets and changes are accurately entered into the payroll system on-time (ADP)
- Oversee time off policies and timecards and ensure appropriate recording of days worked
- Communicate issues or improvements needed for Payroll Processing/HRIS software
- First point of contact for employee support for payroll-related inquiries

**Health Benefit Administration**
- Administer employee health insurance and benefits plans
- Identify eligibility and enroll new plan members as well as terminate exiting plan members
- Maintain communication templates with members and ensuring plan information is up-to-date and available for members
- Process status changes to benefit plans for all members (ie. leaves of absence, new dependents, etc)
- Perform routine periodic audits of various aspects of the benefit plan (e.g., payroll deductions, eligibility, position changes, etc.)
- Respond to all employee inquiries relating to their health benefit plan
- Assist with administration disability management and work accommodation plan

**Employee Savings Program Administration**
- Administer Employee Savings Program RRSP, RESP & DPSP plans
- Ensuring that plan information is available for members, and that the information is accurate and complete
- Identify eligibility and provide new plan members with plan enrollment details
- Ensure the most recent and up-to-date contribution information is shared with ADP for accurate payroll processing
- Maintain annual contribution spreadsheet to ensure accurate company matches to members
- Update Canada Life with updated salaries and seniority changes annually
- Process contribution changes as requested by members
- Responding to inquiries in timely manner

**Company Culture & Other Responsibilities**
- Assist in coordinating company-wide internal and external events (employee recognition programs, team building events, monthly lunch and learns)
- Assist in the coordination of HR related company-wide communications
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements as outlined in OHSA, ESA, WSIA, OHRC, AODA, OFC and any other relevant legislation

**About You**:

- College diploma/certification or University degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps
- Natural alignment with RFRK Food values and mission
- Proficiency with payroll related software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Structured and self-directed approach to project work
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Experience using ADP's WorkForce Now is an asset
- CHRP is an asset
