**Position Description**

**Job Overview**:
The HR/Payroll Manager at The Toronto Hunt will lead and manage the human resources and payroll functions for a dynamic and seasonal workforce, ranging from 100 to 200 employees at peak season. Reporting to the General Manager and Director of Finance (Payroll), the HR Manager will collaborate closely with the management team to implement and strengthen HR strategies, ensuring alignment with the club’s overall mission. This role will oversee all aspects of payroll administration, staff culture programs, health and safety, and human resource management, contributing to a positive workplace culture.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prepares and administers payroll for The Toronto Hunt, including salaried, hourly and seasonal employees
- Year-end payroll reconciliations/filings
- Fiscal Year-end audit-payroll documents
- Maintains all payroll processes from end-to-end (new hires, updates and terminations)
- Support the Director of Finance with Group Benefit administration
- Remit all payroll Statutory Deductions, Employer Health Tax and WSIB payments and prepare cheque requisitions
- Maintenance and communication of the Club’s employee policies and health and safety program
- Compliance with legislation regarding Health and Safety procedures, postings and reporting, including submissions to and correspondence with WSIB as required
- Employee communications
- Employee Liaison-inquiries and employee issues
- Support the JHSC in all aspects of health and safety, including administrative functions (distribution of meeting agendas, preparation and distribution of meeting minutes, etc.)
- Control and follow-up of all incident reports
- Organizes training and maintains training records
- HR compliance -Adhere to all applicable legislation and stay up to date on any relevant changes, AODA
- All other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and General Manager

**Qualifications**
- Minimum requirement 4 years full cycle payroll experience with Payroll Compliance Professional designation (PCP) for bi-weekly payroll
- Experience issuing Records of Employment (ROE)
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks concurrently as well as ability to effectively prioritize to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is an asset
- Experience with Jonas Software
- Certification in Human Resources (e.g., CHRP, CHRL) is an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
