**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Analyze homestay needs based on student recruitment projections and contract programming
- Recruit, interview, and train host families
- Conduct home inspections, interview, and assess residences and families for suitability
- Develop networks for temporary housing for emergencies and new arrivals
- Database management for homestay program
- Match incoming students with available and appropriate hosts
- Liaise with airport and transportation coordinator to facilitate student arrival information is communicated to hosts
- Resolve intercultural conflict including sensitive and personal issues that would occur in one’s home
- Develop emergency procedures and housing options as temporary solutions may require

**Qualifications**:

- Three (3) year diploma in Social Work, Counselling, International Relations, Social Sciences, Social Services Worker, Education, Business/Business Admin or similar field of study
- Three (3) years of cross cultural/intercultural counselling with students and community outreach
- Exceptional time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Proven listening and facilitation skills
- Strong communication and prioritizing skills
- Proven abilities in conflict resolution
- Strong customer service and public relations/interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Second language preferred
