We are seeking an operational leader to join our National Employee Benefits and Retirement practice. The Manager, National Employee Benefits Operations will work with our Chief Operating Officer, Executive Benefits Leadership Team, and regional operations leaders to deliver and support many of our national objectives, specifically, maximizing the use of all available systems, creating consistent workflow processes/practices across all regions, ensuring consistency in data, supporting our 3C partnerships, and leveraging best practices across our national platform.
The Manager, Operations will provide tactical support to optimize our current structure and leverage current resources and create a shared support model for EB/Retirement in Canada. This includes leading multiple operational projects, as required.
What You’ll Do
Manage various strategic projects as determined by leadership
Oversee document/records management within EB & Retirement
Support the implementation of new tools, best practices, workflow processes, and service guidelines across EB&R Canada (i.e., shared services)
Manage adoption across all regions
Monitor for success
Work with training and development resources across Canada to ensure ongoing and consistent training of team members across EB & Retirement
Liaise with the analytics team to deliver quarterly in-force business dashboard for EB and Retirement
Support HUB’s mergers & acquisition projects as required
Ensure full adoption of EPIC records management system & monitoring data loaded into EPIC to ensure it meets minimum business standards
Work with leadership to maintain HUB’s Broker Standards for EB & Retirement
What You’ll Need for Success
Typically, 5+ years of experience in the employee benefit or financial services industry
Results-oriented and passionate, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics, and ownership
Strong organization and prioritization skills with a solid work ethic & entrepreneurial spirit
Strong financial acumen & analytical skills with the ability to navigate a complex structural environment
Ability to establish credibility and form relationships with internal stakeholders through ethics, integrity, professionalism, and mutual respect
Proven and verifiable project management skills
A team player who also possesses the independence of thought and honesty when making key business decisions
Effective change management, time management, decision-making, and follow-up skills
Expert-level proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Bilingual capabilities (French/English) would be an asset
Currently holding or working towards insurance designation such as CEBS, GBA, etc. is an asset
