**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

**a) Clinical Program Design & Oversight**
- Ensure alignment of clinical activities with the CMHA strategic plan
- Support the overall direction of clinical programming for assigned portfolio in compliance with Accreditation Canada Standards, Regulatory College(s) and Legislative requirements.
- Develop collaborative partnerships with CMHA staff at all levels of the organization to ensure coordinated, evidence-based and equitable care throughout the clients' journey from intake to discharge
- Actively incorporate equity, diversity and inclusion practices and principles in the delivery of client-centered care, trauma-informed care at all levels of service
- Assist in the development and/or curation of targeted prevention, clinical counseling and therapy services programming that are equitable, inclusive and meet the diverse serves the Halton community
- Serve as a liaison between program services, external marketing to facilitate the use of services by CMHA clients
- Integrate clinical assessment skills with a risk management perspective in new program design
- Manage a clinical team and ensure that the team has well defined objectives that support CMHA goals including clinical and administrative support
- Participate in ongoing training opportunities to ensure contemporary knowledge of youth and adult mental health Be a positive contributing member to the agency’s culture and multi-disciplinary teams

**b) Quality Improvement & Compliance**
- Work with the senior team to support ongoing program review and the development of new programs/pathways to be responsive to current or emerging demands for adults facing mental health challenges in Halton region
- Optimize and drive efficient client flow through the monitoring and analysis of key performance metrics
- Support and play active leadership role in agency-wide / system-wide change initiatives
- Advise in the recruiting, hiring and discharging of employees as necessary to support the allocation of resources needed to meet service objectives
- Ensure clinical services adhere to service agreement definitions, funding requirements and also are aligned on an ongoing basis with CMHA policies, procedures and protocols
- Comply with reporting requirements for MOHLTC and other funders
- Ensure compliance with the specific requirements of Section 27 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as any further health and safety responsibilities as outlined in agency policy and procedure documents

**c) Community Relations**
- Play active role in promoting health equity initiatives across organization and broader system
- Participate as a committee member, leader or supporter as required at related community committees, planning tables etc.
- Create partnerships/collaboration opportunities with key community stakeholders to ensure programs are meeting the needs of our clients in the community
- Provide training and development opportunities to the community as requested
- Be an active member of community tables/groups and agency committees

**d) People & Resource Management**
- Manages all aspects of people management for direct reports including recruitment, orientation, coaching, mentoring, performance management and learning and development
