Position: Clinical Research Assistant

Department: The Centre for Clinical Trials

Reports to: Principal Investigator & Clinical Research Manager

Hours of Work: Mondays-Fridays (8 hours)

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full-Time

The Centre for Clinical Trials is looking for an entry-level professional to fill the key role of Clinical Research Assistant in our Medical and Aesthetic Dermatology Research Department. The research studies focus on medical and aesthetic Dermatology and include industry-sponsored clinical trials (Phases II-IV) with novel investigational drugs, therapeutics, and devices.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Perform laboratory specimen collection, processing, and shipping
- Prepare materials for patient appointments and procedures, including patient documents and laboratory samples
- Study drug receipt, dispensation, preparation, and maintenance of drug accountability records
- Monitor of temperature-controlled drug and supplies
- Perform data entry, data verification, query resolution, and quality control
- Manage study supplies and inventory
- Complete administrative tasks, such as patient document filing and management of study correspondence
- Act as a member of an interdisciplinary team to plan, organize, conduct, and maintain the activities of research trials in an efficient and accurate manner

Previous Related or Special Experience Necessary:

- Recruitment experience is an asset
- Phlebotomy experience is an asset
- Experience with phase II-IV Clinical Trials is an asset
- Experience in Dermatology Research is an asset
- Degree or Diploma in Life Sciences or a Health Care program is an asset
- Laboratory Technician certification is an asset

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
