**Responsibilities**:

- **Relationship Building**: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships based on trust, respect, and integrity. Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with external partners, including Indigenous community leaders, educational institutions, and other relevant organizations.
- **Reform Initiatives**: Lead and oversee reform programs or projects aimed at improving internal processes, policies, or practices, along with youth engagement strategies. ensuring alignment between Indigenous partners, perspectives, and organizational objectives
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and internal teams, and document engagements.
- **Negotiation and Conflict Resolution**: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate and resolve conflicts diplomatically and effectively.
- **Training and Development**: Design and implement training programs to enhance volunteer skills, promote leadership development, and ensure the organization’s adherence to best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Competencies Required**:

- 5+ years of experience in volunteer management, stakeholder engagement, advocacy, or reform-related roles. At least 3 years of direct management or supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and history, alongside sensitivity to cultural differences and protocols.
- Education: High School Diploma
- Considered as an asset: Degree or Certification in Community Health, Social Sciences, Nonprofit Management, Youth Development, or related field - along with relevant experience in Indigenous relations, community development, or a related area. Other relevant certifications from Historically Black Colleges, Tribal Colleges and Universities, or other institutions are welcomed.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships based on trust, respect, and integrity.

- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work non-traditional hours (as needed) to engage with communities and occasionally travel.

**Working Conditions**:

- Home Office environment
- PRC (Police Record Check) and VSS (Vulnerable Sector Check) are required before the start date
- Mandatory training requirement

Salary depends on skills and experience. Salary range: $57,886.96 - $68,101.53
