Reporting Manager

On behalf of our client, Naut’sa mawt Resources Group, we are searching for a Reporting Manager to join their team. For over 20 years, Naut'sa mawt Resources Group has been partnering with government, corporations, communities, and organizations to advance economic reconciliation and pursue opportunities to positively impact Indigenous peoples. Reporting to the Director, Naut’sa mawt Event Management the Reporting Manager is responsible for managing reporting services including notetaking, transcription, report writing, translation/captioning, and editing services for the Events Department at Naut’sa mawt Resources Group. This role will require collaboration with a variety of internal team members, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of reporting services, including leadership and development of the reporting team, helping to set strategic direction and business development opportunities.
- **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:_
**Reporting Support and Leadership**
- Provide our clients with reporting services, including notetaking, transcription, report writing, translation/captioning, and editing services.
- Manage a team of employees and contractors and employees which involves:
- Recruitment and selection processes, distributing employment contracts, onboarding, and training of new employees/contractors; performance management of employees (coaching/mentoring/feedback and development, as needed), keeping records of employee/contractor paperwork/files; workflow distribution and supervision; maintaining an accurate, up-to-date contact list for contractors; contacting and scheduling contractors.
- Meet Event Planning Team’s reporting requirements through booking notetakers and report writers on their behalf, meeting their client’s budgets and deadlines.
- Ensure strong ongoing communication strategies between Event Planners and the Reporting Department to maintain transparency of service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Assist in reporting service deliveries in collaboration with the Event Planners
- Maintain reporting sales through both working together with Event Planners on proposal writing, as well as through the pursuit of new client relationships by:
- Responding to Requests for Proposal (RFP’s) for Reporting Services for Naut’sa mawt Event Management.
- Providing potential clients with quotations for reporting services through proposals and RFP’s.
**Strategic Development & Planning**
- Monitor areas of responsibility for opportunities for improvement, increase innovation and work proactively to implement these ideas by:
- Researching and finding business development opportunities for reporting services such as attending conferences/workshops, building networking opportunities, to increase sales pipeline.
- Networking and researching organizations that could possibly use Naut’sa mawt’s services, staying on top of trends and happenings in the market.
- Ensuring reporting pricing structure remains competitive, with the support of the Chief Financial Officer and Director, Naut’sa mawt Event management.
- Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and evolving language usage to continuously improve editorial processes, techniques, and cultural sensitivity.
- Researching technologies and tools for supporting and expediting both onsite and virtual Reporting Services which could aid in the delivery of services and help to keep Naut’sa mawt competitive.
- Developing and maintaining an editorial style guides and standards to streamline workflows and ensure consistency across all written works produced by Naut’sa mawt Event Management.
- Conceptualizing and developing new services to be offered to clients, whenever possible.
- Ensure strong ongoing communication with Director, Naut’sa mawt Event management and the leadership team to discuss strategies and planning, discuss targets/revenues and progress to ensure service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Director, Naut’sa mawt Event Management and sister company Indigenous Marketing to develop communications and marketing strategies to concisely promote services.
- Ensure that all information on the NEM website regarding reporting services is up to date.
**Project Management**
- Ensure that customer service standards are maintained, and contract deliverables are met through:
- Acquiring a detailed assessment of client needs and ensuring timely delivery.
- Setting clear and reasonable expectations guided by contract deliverables and a thorough work plan to assist in meeting project goals and deadlines when applicable.
