We are hiring for a full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our accounting team. This position will be a 6-month contract, with potential to transition into a longer term position.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Processes and reconciles payments multiple times per week
- Prepares bank reconciliation for review
- Prepares invoices for payment and ensures compliance with contractual obligations
- Sends large batches ensuring timely delivery to customers
- Responsible for timely collection of accounts receivables, including reaching out to customers and resolving any issues delaying payment
- Assists in ensuring consistency with office accounting policy and procedures relating to other staff
- Act as backup for other staff as required
- Performs other duties similar in scope and complexity.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Have minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
- Understanding of full cycle accounting
- Have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel
- Be able to work effectively in both a team environment and independently
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills (english)
- Have experience prioritizing and completing assignments to meet deadlines
- Be reliable and discreet due to the sensitive nature of the position
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff and to interact courteously and effectively with customers.
- Previous experience in HVAC or construction industry considered an asset

**OTHER NOTES**
- This position typically works Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. As an employer committed to intentional work/life balance, overtime hours will only be approved for this role in exceptional circumstances.

**DEPARTMENT ASSIGNMENT**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:
