What’s it like working as a Desktop Services Technician II at Questrade?

The Intermediate Service Desk Technician handles break/fix, configuration issues, troubleshooting, software installations, and hardware repair (coordinating vendor warranty services). You will also handle escalated issues that junior technicians are not equipped to handle, and relay or collaborate on more complex issues with Senior Service Desk technicians. The Intermediate Service Desk Technician is also able to research and implement fixes for new issues.

**As a member of our team you will**:

- Perform repairs, upgrades and other related services for Windows 10, macOS, and mobile devices
- Use mobile device management (MDM) software to manage macOS devices
- Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair PC and Mac related hardware and peripherals
- Engage vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
- Create and maintain documentation on projects and recurring procedures
- Provide support for meeting room and audio visual systems on-premises
- Provide telephony support for Genesys and Zoom

- Demonstrated experience working with Windows 10 as well as macOS in a business environment.
- Proven experience administering Google Workspace & Microsoft Office (Productivity Application Suites)
- Ability to install, configure, administer and troubleshoot a wide range of desktop hardware and software
- Proven working experience with Remote Control Software such as BeyondTrust (Bomgar) and Remote Desktop Connection
- Experience troubleshooting computer peripherals such as external monitors
- Experience with troubleshooting and supporting mobile devices
- Basic understanding of PowerShell, experience scripting in PowerShell an asset
- Experience creating and administering accounts in Active Directory
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager an asset
