CGI is offering an exciting opportunity as a Data Solutions Product Owner with Project Management responsibilities. As a member of CGI’s national practice providing retail banking solutions and services to credit unions, the Data Solutions Product Owner will be joining an experienced and dynamic team of global IT professionals serving CGI financial clients across Canada and the world. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Act as an ambassador for CGI’s data solution and data strategy, working within an agile environment
- Implement a strategic data architecture framework that will facilitate the availability, accessibility, quality, and reliability of data across multiple technology data domains
- Assist with the elaboration/refinement of the business requirements to ensure they adhere to agile processes
- Groom and maintain the banking solutions backlog in collaboration with the client, technical leads, management, and other related project stakeholders
- Act as the intermediary between client business teams and our IT service delivery teams, translating client requests into business requirements that ensure our solutions roadmap aligns with the business objectives of our clients and the needs of their customers
- Collaborate with CGI data analytics SMEs, emerging technology groups, and key clients to advance and deliver the roadmap
- Enhance the data architecture framework, standards, and principals, including modeling, metadata, security, and reference data
- Collaborate with various teams to maintain appropriate levels of data security and privacy relating to customer data
- Research and communicate latest industry trends and solutions
- Establish and manage project documentation, status reports and stakeholder communication throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Provide regular and clear visibility to project status to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage communication and escalation of issues internally and with external clients and vendors
- Anticipate and effectively resolve project related issues, facilitate/negotiate resolution with key project stakeholders and external clients to avoid impact to project delivery timeline and client commitments

**Required Experience**:

- Experience acting as product owner for a data warehouse and data analytics products/solutions
- Experience leading a team of talented data-centric technical resources
- Experience in the definition, analysis, implementation of data management related initiatives
- Experience working with cloud based solutions;
- Experience working with API driven platforms and data architectures
- Experience managing agile projects

**Nice to Have**:

- Possess knowledge of Agile or Scaled Agile Frameworks
- Experience working with Jira, SharePoint
- Financial services experience, specifically in retail banking and/or credit union space
- Information Technology related degrees, diplomas and certifications
- Ability to motivate and inspire others to design and deliver innovative solutions

**Required Level of Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

Must have authorization to work in Canada.
Role is in Halifax, NS. One can be based anywhere in Atlantic Canada.
