This position requires a strong technical background and a deep understanding of software development processes. The Product Owner will be responsible for managing a team of developers and technical support staff, working closely with a Technical Project Manager to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of technology solutions.Define and maintain the vision for the company's internal technology products, ensuring they align with business goals and user needs.Manage a team of software developers and technical support team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Oversees OpusVi functions such as the development and delivery of LMS platforms and courses, onboarding and monitoring of users, distribution of surveys and collection of data, and the integration of learning technologies.Collaborate closely with a Technical Project Manager to plan and execute development projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.Act as a key liaison between technical teams and other departments within the company, translating business needs into technical requirements.Ensure the technical integrity and quality of the product through regular reviews, testing, and continuous improvement practices.Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform product development and innovation.Develop and implement technical product roadmaps, timelines, and development milestones.Monitor and report on the progress of development projects, addressing any issues or challenges that arise.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical product management or similar role within a technology-focused environment.Strong understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycle.Proven experience managing technical teams, including developers and support staff.Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in software development.Proven track record of successful product launches and management in a technical field.OpusVi is committed to providing accessible employment practices that are in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
