The Opportunity:
We are currently looking to fill the position of **Product Owner - Scheduling** to join us in evolving Nova Scotia Powers Work and Asset Management (WAM) solution. The Work and Asset Management (WAM) solution will transform the way NS Power delivers services to its customers. The project will deliver new capabilities and tools for planning and scheduling work, new mobile tools for field technicians, and upgraded systems and processes to support the delivery of services to customers. As a member of the WAM Project team, you will join a dynamic group of responsive professionals leading cross-divisional and enterprise-wide business transformation during this multi-year project and the continuous improvement program that follows.

Key elements of this role include:

- Strong understanding of the utilities field operations to enable sound business analysis.
- Proficient in prioritizing tasks to maximize business value, ensuring that projects align with strategic objectives and deliver tangible results.
- Take ownership of end-to-end experience for Regional Operations employees for the new WAM solutions, specifically as it relates to Scheduling work groups and boundary systems.
- Represent the end user in all aspects of design of systems and process, including outside contractors as applicable.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and conduct stakeholder interviews to elicit, document and validate business requirements, processes, and procedures.
- Perform analysis to identify business opportunity, understand business impact, or support troubleshooting efforts.
- Work with utilities staff to identify, analyze, recommend, and implement business process optimization opportunities leveraging the WAM technology.
- Conduct business impact analysis of changes to WAM and related processes.
- Participate in the development and delivery of training and job aids for end users.
- Participate in the development of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scenarios and test scripts to ensure extensive testing of critical or complex business requirements in the WAM suite.
- Support the investigation and resolution of technical incidents or problems.
- Support other product owners and teams (and project managers) in testing and ensuring that the process they develop is effective and sustainable.
- With your field experience, you will work closely with and assist the Leadership Team in writing project statements, consulting with sponsors and stakeholders, reviewing communication plans, and change management plans.
- You will participate in organizing meetings, scheduling resources, and managing expectations of system owners.
- You must be comfortable with presenting results to sponsors and stakeholders.

Overall, the Product Owner role works with minimum of supervision to provide excellence in all aspects of the role. You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.

These skills will make you successful:

- Sufficient experience to demonstrate the ability to support T&D Operations business units.
- Ability to problem solve, make decisions and/or recommendations.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and compress data and information from multiple sources, resolve conflicts and differentiate between actual and required user needs.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients including negotiation and influencing.
- Ability to proactively keep abreast of new emerging technologies, interview, facilitate working groups, and develop strong relationships.
- Knowledge and experience with Organizational Change Management
- Experience in user training and implementation of the IT solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, consensus building skills, team building skills and the ability to follow through and complete projects.
