**Your Opportunity**:
Directly reporting to the Program Managers - Edmonton Forensic and Residential Tertiary Services Alberta Hospital Edmonton and Community you will contribute to the portfolio’s success by effectively carrying out key the responsibilities. The incumbent must exercise discretion, good judgement, and initiative in anticipating the needs of the Program Managers and their portfolios. The incumbent must have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as advanced computer literacy in a variety of software and systems. This position as part of a team role liaises closely with Forensic, Residential and Tertiary Care/Unit Managers, and their administrative/unit staff as well as the other Administrative Support staff. Additionally, this role is responsible for gathering appropriate information, analysis and reporting this information back to the Program Managers. The incumbent is to exercise judgment and latitude in planning and solving problems that are new and complex in nature and developing innovative strategies to solve or lead others for which there is limited practice guidance. Identifying challenges and playing an active role in supporting organizational growth and development at the systems level as well as ensuring quality and integrity of results of the highest standard are expected. Working collaboratively and sustaining positive working relationships with the various stakeholders, management teams, front-line service providers, co-workers and other staff within the organization and externally is essential to this role.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
High School Diploma supplemented with a formal education in an administrative/secretarial program or 3-5 years' experience preferably within a health care setting is required. Proficiency in written, verbal communication and excellent Microsoft Office skills. E-people, RMS, Connect Care and ESP desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team player. High awareness and practice of confidentiality.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Advanced Outlook and Word experience. Experience in a mental health environment is preferred and Legal terminology is an asset. Certificate in medical terminology. Commissioner of Oaths. Preferred five years' experience supporting a Program Manager or equivalent in a healthcare setting. Basic understanding of health sector demographic information and integration with other community & social services programs.
