- _ Contribute to the development of a provincial strategy for disability management programs for the BC Health Authorities and Providence Health Care_
- _ Create, present and oversee provincial work plans, project sequencing and deliverables_
- _ Create and present project proposals including impact analysis and budget assessments _
- _Create project charters, plans and objectives to maintain timelines and project deliverables;_
- _ Lead large projects with Insurance partners to leverage technology solutions and improve communication, programs and outcomes_
- _ Act as a facilitator and communication link among various stakeholder groups to ensure initiatives/projects are advancing as set out in the project charters and work plans. _
- This position is a work from home opportunity with a requirement for travel for various in-person meetings/sessions across BC. _

Detailed Overview:
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families**:
Reporting the Director, Health Authorities Workplace Health Services, the Leader, Provincial Disability Management Services is responsible and accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing management of Provincial Disability Management standards, programs and supporting systems that support the priority directions established by the Health Authority Occupational Safety & Health Executive Directors Council (OSH Council). Develops programs and standards to ensure consistent local implementation of provincially identified programs, standards and systems across the Health Authorities. Represents the Health Authority Disability Leaders at provincial meetings and engages with external stakeholder groups such as WSBC, LTD Insurers, ICBC, HEABC and health sector unions for program development and implementation and to negotiate the structure and processes of the Health Authority Disability Management programs, services and standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- The Leader is responsible for establishing, leading, and developing the governance structure of a provincial Disability Management Strategic Oversight Committee with senior Disability Management Leader (Director/Manager) representation from all Health Authorities.
- Contributes to the development of Health Authorities' strategy and goals for the OSH Council regarding designated disability management programs.
- Plans, develops, leads, manages and evaluates provincial/consolidated disability management and claims services for the Health Authorities; provides leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, evaluation and the continuous improvement of Health Authorities' disability management strategies to ensure programs align with strategic and operational plans; ensures appropriate change management and legacy training systems are established to support successful and durable implementations.
- Provides guidance and leadership to the specific program and takes an active role in managing stakeholder issues and disputes and/or negotiating complex issues related to such programs.
- Provides leadership and direction to assigned staff using effective management techniques; hires, trains and supervises staff including conducting performance reviews, employee discipline; initiates terminations when appropriate.
- Establishes partnerships with key stakeholders to improve the success of disability management programs within the respective organization; ensures compliance with collective agreements, government regulations and applicable policies and procedures as identified.
