**Disability Management Institute (DMI)** offers small and medium sized employers flexible innovative solutions to their disability management needs. Our specialties include: WCB/WSIB Claims Management, Self-Funded Sick Leave Adjudication, and Non Occupational Absence Management, Return to Work Planning, Disability Management, and STD, MTD, and LTD Claims Management. Ranging in size from 5-2500 employees our clients span the public and private sectors and cover a wide range of industries.
**YOUR ROLE**
**OUTCOMES**
- First 30 Days_
- Completes thorough initial interviews on all client files.
- Undergoes and can complete non-complex telephone interviews.
- First 60 Days_
- Understands and identifies all required fields on disability paperwork.
- Understands and is able to use internal tools to determine claimant plan design and benefits volume.
- First 90 Days_
- Understands the various methods of handling based on plan designs and carriers.
- Can complete complex telephone interviews.
- Submit IT tickets for enhancements and support in conjunction with leadership sign off.
**YOUR IMPACT**
- You will review all new referrals from employers with Short-Term Disability coverage adjudicated by DMI or Stand-alone WOP benefits.
- You will verify all of the administrative details required when submitting a claim for benefits including absence dates, personal contact information, etc.
- You will follow up on outstanding paperwork and ensure all stakeholders are kept updated.
- You will identify cases where return to work may be feasible prior to the claim being submitted and proposes and monitors plans.
- You will ensure that all relevant file information is completely and accurately charted and entered into the appropriate fields in the proprietary database management system.
- You will forward completed claims to Intake Coordinator for claim set up and assignment to Case Manager.
**THIS IS YOU**
- 2 years previous administrative experience
- Previous benefits experience is an asset
- Competence in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and general computer literacy

**YOUR COMPENSATION**
At the time of this posting, the estimated annual base salary pay range for this position is $45,000-$52,000. Individual compensation within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and education/training. This range reflects the annual base salary only pay and does not encompass our comprehensive total rewards, benefits, and potential bonuses that we proudly offer.
