**Job Summary**:
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Altair, you are offered a great opportunity to grow as a sales professional and take an active role in our future success. The BDR focuses on driving revenue growth by identifying and generating new business opportunities to support the sales funnel. This is achieved via active inbound/outbound prospecting, lead/contact management and setting up meetings between potential clients and our sales representatives.
This role reports to the Canadian Senior Sales Director.
**What You Will Do**:
- Actively prospect for potential customers through phone calls and other methods.
- Work closely with marketing to ensure that generated leads are followed-up with in a timely manner.
- Work closely with sales to ensure that booked meetings are being prepared in a way which maximizes chances of successful outcomes.
- Collaborate with other BDR’s in America’s and the rest of the world to refine and improve methods and share best practices
**What You Will Need**:
- At least 1 year of Technical Sales experience preferably in software sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Science or other relevant technical discipline
- Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident status
- Technically astute and able to comprehend engineering challenges faced by prospective customers
- Ability to coordinate and work well with other sales and technical professionals
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- French bilingual is preferred
- Strong work ethic, and motivated to work in a high performing, results-oriented environment
