**JOB SUMMARY**
The Cultural Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Executive Director, Cultural Programming, and the Cultural Manager in the delivery of cultural programs and events, providing leadership, and promoting a sense of community. The Cultural Coordinator works effectively with staff, patrons, families, and children, connecting with the community and assuming administrative responsibilities related to the cultural program. This position will report to the Cultural Manager.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Works directly with the Cultural Manager in developing cultural programming.
- Assists the Cultural Manager with the delivery of the social and cultural programs, planning, arranging, and supervising the execution of selected events.
- Conducts admin duties (registrations and payments, scheduling) for the Music School, Art Classes, Language Classes, and Villa Charities/Columbus Centre Cultural Events.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Cultural Manager and/or the ED, Cultural Programming.
**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in Education or Childcare, an asset
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate or willing to complete training
- Current Food Handler’s certificate or willing to complete training
- Special Needs & CPI Training (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention), or willing to complete training
- Current Criminal Reference Check Report (Vulnerable Sector)
- Genuine passion and desire to work with children and seniors
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Fluent in English, both oral and written
- Knowledge of Italian language and community, an asset
**CANADA SUMMER JOB APPLICATION ELIGIBILITY**

**. International students include anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible. As the objective of the CSJ program is to support youth entering the Canadian labour market, the temporary nature of an international student’s time in Canada does not allow for a long-term connection to the labour market.
