**Job Summary**:
The Associate Director, Culture & DEI, reporting to the VP, Talent & Culture will play a critical role in overseeing the development of a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion policy, strategy and related initiatives. The incumbent will advise leaders on strategies and best practices to promote and foster diversity and establish an inclusive and welcoming work environment. In addition, this role is responsible for developing and evolving a Winning Behaviours culture strategy by engaging leaders and employees in defining and embedding winning behaviours in every aspect of their day to day work.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with the CEO, CHRO and leadership to develop and implement Apotex’s DEI policy, strategy and plan. Serve as a thought leader, advocate and resource regarding diversity, equity and belonging, including building skills and capacity.
- Lead a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion council to engage employees and leaders in the development of policies, strategies, tools and programs to leverage inclusion and diversity to drive business outcomes.
- Design, implement, facilitate and support all diversity and inclusion leadership training, education, and awareness programs, and develop diversity awareness and inclusion materials/content for use in people/talent programs at all levels of the organization.
- Participate in industry events and partnership opportunities to understand best practices, and help evolve and strengthen Apotex’s DEI policies, practices and initiatives.
- Review and update all communication on Apoweb, social media pages, job descriptions and internal documents to ensure alignment with DEI policy.
- Establish and maintain key metrics and reporting system to allow for effective measurement of DEI initiatives; report progress and recommend opportunities for priority areas of focus.
- Develop and execute a Winning Behaviours culture strategy including defining behaviours, engaging employees, developing workshops and initiatives designed to embed Winning Bheaviours in the every day work of employees and leaders
- Partner with HR, internal communications and the business to develop an Employee Value Proposition, integrate into key talent processes and deploy its communication internally and externally to attract and retain key talent.
- Performs all work in support of our Corporate Values of Collaboration, Courage. Perseverance and Passion. Demonstrates strong and visible support of our values and Winning Behaviours culture.
**Job Requirements**:
**Education**
- University degree or Post-Secondary Education in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or closely related field.
- Advanced degree from a graduate school (MBA or Masters in HRM) an asset.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Works effectively in a global matrix environment and regularly collaborates with HR colleagues (Global/Local HRBPs and Global/Regional CoEs) and the Business to drive results.
- Ability to navigate the complexities of global diversity with an understanding of how regional nuances can affect implementation efforts
- Strong business acumen and collaborative style to build relationships and quickly gain credibility with senior leadership and key stakeholders across functional teams and project teams.
- Skilled at attending to matters that require sensitivity and empathy across a diverse population Proven ability to promote an inclusive and engaged culture and implement related activities.
- Solid organizational skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and reacting quickly to shifting priorities
- Proficiency in designing and leading global programs via a mix of internal resources, external technology platforms, and third-party service providers.
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior leaders in assessing development needs, identifying opportunities, selecting priorities, sponsoring actions and getting results.
**Professional Experience**
- Minimum of 7-10 years experience in Human Resources with experience in designing and implementing culture and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
- A strong passion for Diversity and Inclusion, demonstrated experience and knowledge in DEI reporting requirements, and direct experience working with DEI in publicly traded/TSX listed companies.
