Office and Finance Administrator

The Office and Finance Administrator is required to staff the office for Windsor Light Music Theatre. Hours of employment are flexible. Some evening hours may be required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for incoming/outgoing mail, shipments, supplies, maintenance and updates of office equipment.
- Provides general support to members, patrons, volunteers, and visitors.
- Process cash and debit payments from members of the Organization.
- Maintains petty cash system and ledger. Prepare month-end petty cash reconciliation.
- Record and maintain financial transactions such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
- Calculate and prepare payments for payroll, utilities, tax and other bills.
- Complete and submit tax remittance forms and other government documents.
- Actively seek out corporate and local sponsors on behalf of WLMT and negotiate sponsorship contracts.
- Perform basic office and accounting responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a Grade 12 graduation diploma or equivalent, as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education, or completed post-secondary education at an accredited college or university as an adult student.
- Minimum of 6 months’ work experience in an office environment.
- Experience handling cash transactions.
- Sharp attention to detail and excellent data entry skills.
- Familiarity with the general principles of accounting and demonstrated experience with accounting products - i.e. QuickBooks.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and respectful when dealing with the public, Board members, volunteers and other employees.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization would be considered an asset.

- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
