Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a long-term IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives, considering factors such as emerging technologies, industry trends, regulatory requirements, and the input from senior IT leadership to establish best practices and maintain IT-business alignment
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Develop and implement training and career development plans to enhance team skills and capabilities.
- Cost Optimization and Efficiency: Identify and implement cost-effective strategies to eliminate redundancies, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs while maintaining high levels of service quality, security, and business continuity.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure. Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues. Optimize resource utilization and streamline processes to improve efficiency.
- Vendor Management: Establish strong relationships with technology vendors and service providers, negotiating favorable contracts and ensuring optimal service delivery. Monitor vendor performance, address service delivery issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Strategic Planning and Project Management: Contribute to the development and implementation of the IT strategy, establishing best practices and processes. Oversee current and future projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Align Technical Roadmap with Business Strategy: Develop and maintain a technical roadmap that aligns with the organization's strategic goals and supports business initiatives.
- Key contributors to disaster recovery, BCP, and incident management include IT, security, BCP, crisis management, HR, legal, vendor management, and executive leadership teams.
- Manage and maintain weekend maintenance windows and oversee technology upgrades, collaborating with various departments to ensure effective communication and alignment of activities.
- Drive process excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability within the technology organization

Qualifications:

- Strong “service provider” and “business partner” orientation. A highly communicative, visible, collaborative and accessible leader to both the IT organization and the rest of the company
- Strong partnership and collaborative style with outstanding communication skills: written, verbal and presentation. Ability to communicate effectively and understand the needs of non-technical internal clients as well as the needs of technical peers within IT
- A strategic and transformative leader who drives execution, fosters a culture of innovation, and empowers team members to reach their full potential. This individual will lead organizational change, aligning IT strategy with business objectives and implementing best practices to achieve operational excellence.
- Fast mover, nimble and decisive with a demonstrated entrepreneurial approach to business process, balancing control with flexibility, procedure with simplicity, and willingness to innovate and change while creating an environment of quality and discipline
- Solid knowledge of IT standards, process, infrastructure and systems
- Successful past accountability for infrastructure and support organizations, including the management of successful implementation and integration projects
- Experience procuring and managing external partnerships to outsource technology platforms and services
- Experience leveraging Cloud and SaaS platforms
- Experience working with IT and business units to create and maintain long range technology plans / product roadmaps for IT infrastructure
- Experience with industry standards, specifically release management, change management, incident and problem management
- Experience preparing and maintaining financial budgets for technology initiatives
- University degree in related field preferred
- Significant experience (7+ years) in a high-transaction, services-oriented, business with strong leadership experience in infrastructure management within a fast paced and dynamic company
