**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our sales team. The BDR will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by prospecting and carrying out qualification calls for companies looking to automate tensile testing for rubber and plastics manufacturing.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct B2B outbound prospecting efforts to identify potential customers in the rubber and plastics industry
- Collaborate with engineers, chemists, and scientists at large manufacturing companies on automating material testing with LabsCubed instruments
- Conduct discovery calls to identify customer needs, pain points, and potential sales opportunities
- Achieve and exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Utilize Linkedin Navigator to source and build pipeline for the LabsCubed sales team
- Collaborate with the sales team to prioritize and follow up on leads regularly
- Conduct cold calls and follow up calls to potential customers in the US and Canada
- Schedule introductory and followup meetings, obtain referrals, and organize in person meetups at conferences and customer laboratories in the US and Canada
- Qualify leads and follow up on marketing-generated leads
- Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities and sales opportunities using Hubspot or similar CRM software
- Research industry events, news, and exciting developments to network and raise brand awareness in person and on social media
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in a BDR or similar role, preferably in the industrial automation industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational and planning skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with CRM software, such as hubspot
- Knowledge of hardware sales or the material space is a plus
- Knowledge of sales and marketing software is an asset
**Salary**: $39,429.00-$48,943.00 per year
