**Landfill Site Administrator / Accounting Clerk**

Wastech Services, a subsidiary of the Belkorp Group of Companies, is an established BC company with a long-standing history of making a positive impact in the environmental sector. Since 1989, Wastech has operated environmental businesses across BC focusing on waste management and initiatives related to greenhouse gas emissions and renewable energy. We operate the Campbell Hill Landfill in Cache Creek, BC and are also responsible for the post closure care of the Cache Creek Landfill.
- Wastech is growing _We are looking to add a permanent, full-time Administrator / Accounting Clerk to our team. This position will report to the General Manager and will be based out of our site office in Cache Creek, BC. The Administrator / Accounting Clerk will work closely with team members from both our Kamloops and Cache Creek offices and possess strong organizational and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the business. In general, the responsibilities will be as follows:

- Reconcile daily scale transactions against various sources and documents
- Coordinate contractors and services (e.g., plumbing, electrical, janitorial) as needed for the site trailer office and drop off recycling and garbage to transfer station periodically
- Maintain various tracking Excel spreadsheets (e.g., small equipment inventory, key tracking, orientation tracking, health & safety training)
- Conduct site orientations for contractors
- Complete purchase requisitions for purchase order generation
- Prepare various ad hoc reports for operations and management
- Identify opportunities for improved processes and procedures
- Printing, filing, scanning, data entry, and other administrative tasks as required.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary training/courses in accounting
- Minimum 2 years' related experience
- Project accounting and/or activity-based accounting experience an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills
- Service oriented with the ability to build and maintain trusted working relationships
- Curious and enthusiastic with a passion for learning
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and requests, while exhibiting time-management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Committed to ongoing personal and professional development
- Willing to work in all weather conditions
