**Position Description**:
**Job Title**: CPCC Project Manager
**Site**: SickKids (Hybrid role)
**Department**:Genetics and Genome Biology/Division of Hematology-Oncology
**Reports to**: Director, Strategy and Operations, CPCC
**Employment Type**: 2 x 1.0 FTE 1-year contracts with potential for renewal and including modified benefits (i.e., health & dental)

The Canadian Pediatric Cancer Consortium (CPCC) is a new initiative (lead institution SickKids) to build a national childhood cancer strategy that will change the way children’s cancers are researched and treated. The vision of the CPCC is that ever Canadian child with cancer will have access to the latest scientific advances, diagnostic tools, therapies and supportive care leading to better outcomes and a better quality of life. The CPCC includes clinicians, researchers, survivors, patient advocates and other stakeholders from across Canada who have diverse experience and expertise.

We are currently seeking two Project Managers to join our team. In this role you will be key members of the CPCC program team and will be responsible for a broad range of administration and coordination activities to facilitate the implementation of the CPCC’s Thematic Groups, research projects, consortium-building and engagement work.

Reporting to the Director, Strategy and Operations and working closely with the Director, Engagement and Partnerships, the Executive Director, other CPCC staff and the CPCC Executive Committee, the Project Managers will help manage the day-to-day operations of the program, support CPCC staff and the volunteer co-leads of the consortium, facilitate the activation and conduct of research projects, and maintain partnerships with collaborators across Canada. The Project Manager positions require proactive and action-oriented individuals with excellent organizational, interpersonal, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.

**Here's What You'll Do**:

- Organize and facilitate regular CPCC Theme/Group meetings; prepare meeting minutes and identify action plans
- Support the activities of the Themes/Groups by following up on action items, facilitating meetings, preparing materials, and providing logístical support
- Act as the primary liaison between the CPCC Theme/Group Co-Leads and the CPCC Directors and Executive Director
- Help organize Consortium-wide meetings and international Scientific Advisory Board meetings
- Help file and monitor expenses
- Prepare annual and other required reports to partner organizations and funding agencies/institutions
- Assess data capture needs for Themes/Groups and their projects
- Maintain knowledge of protocols, procedures and policies
- Help organize scientific meetings/conferences
- Contribute to the development and collection of metrics used to measure Consortium success

**Here's What You'll Need**:

- At minimum, a completion of a Master’s degree program or recognized equivalent in a health
- or science-related discipline with a minimum of three years of experience in project management.
- Formal training in program management (PMP) is desirable.
- A certification as a clinical research associate (e.g., SOCRA accreditation) would be an asset.
- Proven ability to work with great efficiency and to perform multiple concurrent tasks
- Possess leadership and managerial skills and have recognized experience in these areas
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective communications with other team members and to communicate with external collaborators and users.
- French language skills considered an asset
- High computer proficiency, familiarity of data sharing tools and data capture is desirable (i.e., REDCap, Microsoft Forms, OneDrive, etc.)
- Strong conflict resolution, team building, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail
