Project Take-off Specialist

Oakville, Canada Independent Mechanical Supply Inc. Full time

The Project Take-Off Specialist will work as a member of a team dedicated to profitably growing project business at Independent Mechanical Supply. The incumbent will review customer requests and prepare the materials list for estimation.

**Responsibilities**:
**Core Responsibilities**:

- Examine blueprints, specifications, addendum, clarifications, RFI’s and other attached documents that require quotation by the Project Quotations Department
- Accurately identify and interpret products on job specification, scope of work, and RFQ documents in a timely fashion and in order to meet deadlines
- Perform the quantity takeoff of project quotation requests in a timely fashion and in order to meet deadlines
- Request direct pricing from suppliers and manufactures after performing the takeoff
- Create meeting agendas and meeting minutes for various project initiatives
- Track & manage daily/weekly/monthly reports, and coordinate payment activities
- Assist in preparing and maintaining a directory of suppliers and subcontractors
- Assist closely with the change order and purchase order requests
- Work with the departments Administrator to keep accurate records of all project quotation requests

Mandatory Requirements
- Experience with and/or knowledge of plumbing & heating products sold by wholesale plumbing distributors
- Ability to accurately interpret and read blue prints
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven fast paced environment
- Experience suggesting and implementing changes to processes and procedures
- Desire to continually be educated in the requirements of the position
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Adobe Acrobat, Order Entry Software, and Internet Information Gathering/Research
- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and planning skills
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
- Established history of demonstrating the ability to pay attention to detail
- Customer centric and dedicated to providing excellent Customer Service
