Parsons Oman: Environmental Remediation Project Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Remediation Project Specialist to join our Environment and Energy (E&E) Team at Parsons Oman.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of professionals on environmental and infrastructure projects. As an Environmental Remediation Project Specialist, you will be responsible for managing projects related to environmental site assessments and remediation.

  • You will oversee project coordination and technical support for various environmental and infrastructure projects, including investigations, remediation design, and excess soil planning.
  • Your primary responsibilities will include Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remedial planning, and site remediation oversight and coordination.
  • You will also contribute to excess soil and waste management planning on infrastructure projects and participate in the improvement of our project processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage project budgets and finances.
  • Coordinate with senior professionals to oversee excavations and in-situ methodologies.
  • Contribute to project management and coordination, including tracking and maintaining project finances.

To succeed as an Environmental Remediation Project Specialist, you will require:

  • A degree in earth sciences, environmental engineering, or a similar field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in consulting, preferably in the Canadian jurisdiction, with a strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental site assessment objectives and methodologies, including soil and groundwater sample collection.
  • Excellent financial and budget management skills.
  • The ability to adhere to client and company policies, including reporting, health and safety, procurement, human resources, and IT workflows.
