As the **Recruiter **for ONYX Industrial Inc,you are responsible for providing support to the ONYX teams with recruitment, employee relations, rewards & recognitions, policies, procedures, onboarding, offboarding, compensation, health, and safety. You will provide administrative and operational support and be the first point of contact for all employees.

This role will report directly to the **Vice President, ONYX **and will support and drive results through:
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Support ONYX teams with P&C support and administrative duties
- Provide first line guidance and support to our employees and people leaders by determining their needs and urgency, while also finding solutions and escalating as needed.
- Maintain the HR systems and employee records ensuring all information is updated in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
- Maintain and further develop the people & culture department; responsible for performance management with people leader, talent development, onboarding/offboarding, recruitment activities, employer brand and employee engagement
- Coordinate and collaborate with teams to complete projects and processes
- Build and maintain relationships with organizations, schools, and professional organizations
- Responsible for reporting and providing metrics on employee engagement, performance, recruitment, etc.
- Plan, coordinate and schedule onboarding for new hires
- Review policies and procedures and implement improvements where necessary

**EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS**:

- Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years experience as a recruiter in a fast paced environment
- Oil & Gas Industry knowledge and strong understanding of seasonal recruiting
- Understanding recruitment, employment & labour law, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, development and employee relations
- Experience using ADP & Work Hub systems
- Experience reporting and analyzing data

**SKILLS**:

- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Organized, and able to prioritize tasks
- Proven ability to build trust and engage at all levels within the organization
- Highly driven and motivated, ensuring deadlines and recruitment needs are being met in a timely manner
- Able to work under pressure and changing work environments
- Ability to think proactively, critically and independently to make well informed decisions
- Fluent in using social media such as Indeed, LinkedIn
- Strong relationship builder, able to work with schools
