**Research Assistant, Learning and Leadership**
Summer Student Position - 16 weeks

The Research Assistant, Learning and Leadership will support initiatives in the Rideau Hall Foundation’s Learning and Leadership Portfolios including the Queen Elizabeth Scholars program (QES) and the Forum for Young Canadians program (Forum). This summer student position will provide valuable paid work experience to one post-secondary student with an interest in education, civic leadership, research and/or program and event management.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Complete the identification and mapping of QES Alumni and update the QES Alumni database.
- Provide logistic and administrative support for Forum for Young Canadians 2023 programming, this includes administrative and program support, including populating content for Forum’s digital platform.
- Support research, planning and logistics for Catapult Canada’s November partners gathering.
- Contribute to internal and external meetings as required.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Be between 18 and 30 years of age and have successfully completed at least one year of post
- secondary studies.
- Experience in research and/or project management, program management and/or and event management would be an asset.
- Experience and/or demonstrated interest in issues related to education, civic leadership, and community building.
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills required.
- Proficiency in French and/or or Indigenous languages would be an asset.
- Experience using databases and CRM systems would be an asset.
- Ability to collaborate and work both within teams and independently.
- Demonstrated flexibility and initiative in completing tasks.
**WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT**

- Flexibility to work select evening and weekends as required.
**Salary**: $21.00 per hour, 37.5hrs per week.

**RESPONSABILITÉS**
- Achever l’identification et la cartographie des ancien.ne.s du programme BRE et mettre à jour la base de données des ancien.ne.s du programme BRE.
- Fournir un soutien logistique et administratif à la programmation du Forum pour jeunes Canadiens 2023, ce qui comprend le soutien administratif et le soutien au programme, y compris l'ajout de contenu sur la plateforme numérique du Forum.
- Soutenir la recherche, la planification et la logistique pour le rassemblement des partenaires de Catapulte Canada en novembre.
- Participer à des réunions internes et externes, au besoin.
**QUALIFICATIONS ET COMPÉTENCES**
- Être âgé.e entre 18 et 30 ans et avoir terminé avec succès au moins une année d’études postsecondaires.
- Une expérience en recherche ou en gestion de projet, en gestion de programme ou en gestion d’événements constitue un atout.
