2023 Summer School eLearning Credit Teaching Positions
Reporting to the Principal of Summer School and Adult and Continuing Education, the eLearning teachers will be responsible for the instructional delivery and daily student support for the duration of the program. Teachers are responsible for record keeping and final reporting for their assigned course.
**Qualifications**:
Special Education qualification preferred
Teaching and Learning through eLearning AQ preferred

**Key Competencies**:
Successful applicants for the summer credit teacher position will demonstrate evidence of:
Ability to integrate technology in daily practice
A deep understanding of learning pedagogy and how it relates to an online learning environment
Collaboration and teamwork with colleagues
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Thorough knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum, Growing Success and the School Effectiveness Framework
**Major Responsibilities for Teachers**:
**eLearning teachers**: 2 days per week on site at the Learning Centre. Remaining hours off site for full credit courses.
Implementing effective student assessment practices (e.g. descriptive feedback) within the virtual learning environment
Enhance curriculum-based content to integrate differentiated instructional strategies designed to improve student engagement and foster deeper learning
Knowledge of the board appointed virtual learning environment
Teaching and Learning Through eLearning AQ course preferred
All teaching positions will be available only if the minimum registrations numbers are attained. Please note that due to late registrations, hiring can continue right up to the first few operating days of school.
