We are seeking a **Human Resources Student **for our **Edmonton Industrial district**, within our **Heavy Industrial Division** that is available for **8 months** starting in** September 2024**. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the HRPD Manager. The Heavy Industrial HRPD team is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of numerous Human Resource initiatives for PCL’s heavy industrial sector. This position is exclusively focused on project-driven activities and does not involve traditional day-to-day operational HR tasks.

As a **Human Resources Student **and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assists in developing and implementing strategic HR programs, including research and evaluation of current processes.
- Conducts data analysis using advanced Excel skills to create reports that drive strategic decisions.
- Drafts, manages, and maintains important HR documents and presentations using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Utilizes Microsoft Outlook and MS Teams for scheduling, coordinating meetings, and maintaining effective team communication.
- Provides support on various HR projects, including sector programs such as mentorship, employee engagement, annual cycles, and leadership development.
- Involved in other HR and project management tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources Major.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to analyze information and provide meaningful insights.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- High level of integrity in managing sensitive information.
- a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
