Here's how an Human Resources Coordinator for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:
- Supports and enhances current national programs, policies and processes, while assisting in the development of new national initiatives.
- Compiles and analyzes national HR metrics, identifies trends, and creates reports to provide valuable insights in various areas to support business objectives.
- Leads the National student program including recruitment, onboarding, mobility, scholarships, and compensation analysis.
- Provides support to district HR teams on corporate and national initiatives and programs including, succession planning, DE&I, leadership development, and more.
- Assists with recruitment and onboarding practices for entry-to-mid-level positions as needed.
- Maintains the HR SharePoint with regular review of policies and processes.
- Conducts research on industry best practices, HR trends, and other relevant topics.
**Qualifications**:
- Completion of Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related fields.
- Some co-op/internship or relevant experience is considered an asset.
- Pursuing a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is preferred.
- Experience supporting HR initiatives, projects and other change management activities.
- Knowledge of HRPD-related principles, practices, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting and editing HR documents, reports, and presentations.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with national goals.
- Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset
