**Job Title: Human Resources Manager**

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities include, but not limited to**:
**Recruitment and Staffing**:

- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Oversee the orientation and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive transition.

**Employee Relations**:

- Foster positive employee relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Address and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

**Performance Management**:

- Ensure workflow processes are efficient and clearly communicated to relevant parties.
- Develop and communicate job descriptions and expectations.
- Collaborate with senior management in the development and Implementation of performance appraisal systems to assess employee performance and development needs.
- Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews and setting performance goals.
- Identify and implement performance improvement plans as needed.

**Policy Development and Compliance**:

- Develop and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, workplace safety standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to monitor and enforce compliance with HR policies.

**Training and Development**:

- Coordinate and facilitate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Identify training needs and work with management to address skill gaps within the organization.

**HR Analytics and Reporting**:

- Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on HR key performance indicators.

**Health and Safety Program**:

- Working together with senior management, ensure a Health and Safety program is implemented, maintained and in legislative compliance.

**Requirements**:

- Educational component in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification and designation (or working towards) is an asset.
- Proven experience as an HR manager or in a similar HR role.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including health and safety.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
