**The opportunity**:
The Project Lead at the I.H. Asper School of Business reports to the Director and plays a key role in leading, developing, and evaluating strategic projects aligned with the school’s academic priorities. This position involves overseeing all phases of project management, collaborating with faculty, staff, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with university goals. Responsibilities include managing timelines, budgets, resources, and risks, as well as providing progress reports and facilitating organizational change.

A key aspect of this role is handling sensitive information with discretion, as the Project Lead will have access to confidential data related to the faculty's budget, academic planning, and staff matters. The incumbent must exercise diplomacy and independence in decision-making while ensuring confidentiality, particularly when working on strategic initiatives such as accreditation and operational planning. Leadership, project management expertise, and the ability to navigate complex, sensitive situations are essential for success in this position.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Post secondary certificate in Computer Applications, Network Support, Data Science, Software Development or similar would be an asset.
- Active Directory certificate would be an asset.
- MECM OS Deployment certificate would be an asset.
- MECM Application Deployment certificate would be an asset.
- Machine Learning/AI certificate would be an asset.
- Python/R certificate would be an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in post-secondary environment, with at least 5 years in an IT role required.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing technology solutions for diverse user needs in a business school environment is required.
- Demonstrated experience using SQL queries to retrieve data from data warehouses, facilitating seamless integration with SharePoint for streamlined data sharing.
- An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated expertise in Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, required.

- Excellent writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and facilitate productive working relationships required.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities with a track record of building and leading high-performing and collaborative teams required.
- Knowledge and understanding of ethical standards and policy documents relating to data collection, privacy, and accessibility required.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and evaluate project plans, conduct user research, and analyze data required.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently required.
- Ability to manage stress well and work effectively both independently and as part of a team required.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
- Experience working within a university or higher education setting is preferred.
