We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to lead our team in managing geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish. With over 50 geotechnical professionals on board, we are one of the largest and most experienced teams in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Opportunity Overview
This role offers significant opportunities for professional growth and development, including oversight of multi-disciplinary projects, client interaction, business development, and more. You will have the chance to manage geotechnical engineering projects, work with a team to develop effective design solutions for geotechnical and multi-disciplinary projects, and collaborate with colleagues, senior project managers, clients, and the public.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Direct a wide range of geotechnical projects, encompassing field investigations, laboratory testing, interpretation, design, construction, and geotechnical analysis.
- Direct and review geotechnical analyses and provide technical expertise with a focus on soil mechanics, foundation design, and soil-structure interaction.
- Fieldwork may involve inspections for various geotechnical projects, including geotechnical sampling and logging programs, reviewing test data completed by others or KGS Group staff.
- Manage quality control and risks during geotechnical design and oversee construction, ensuring critical review of results in coordination with other discipline leads.
- Maintain existing client relationships and develop new business opportunities through exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong technical writing abilities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor of Science in Civil or Geological Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering.
- A Master of Science in Civil or Geological Engineering may be considered an asset.
- Current registration or eligibility to register as a P.Eng. in Manitoba.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering in the civil, dam safety, and/or infrastructure industry.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to identify problems and implement or recommend solutions.
We offer an excellent compensation package, which includes a salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
