Job Title: Trade & Marketing Sales Manager
Location: Thornhill, Canada
**Job Description**:
The Trade and Marketing Sales Manager, Cetaphil is responsible for executing projects, supporting the Brand Team to meet financial/strategic objectives. This position reports to the Director of Consumer Business Unit with dotted line into the Cetaphil brand team. The trade and marketing sales manager responsible for tactical marketing program execution and monitoring/reporting on the results. This role leverages creative, analytical and planning skills. Proficiency in project management, budget management and excel/PowerPoint is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary Conduit between Sales, Retail Team, and internal Cross Functions (Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Demand Planning, and Finance)
- Co-ordinate and Facilitate information flow between Sales, Retail Sales Rep Team, and Marketing all throughout the Business Planning Process as well as on an everyday basis
- Owns weekly communication of Sales Huddle documents to Leadership Team
- Sales and Marketing “Quarterback” for the Demand Planning Process and appropriate input to the process (Key Customer Display and Promotional Activity)
- Exit & run down strategies, customer allocations, slow moving and obsolete management
- Owns Sales input into Internal Planning Process and new product recommendations / communication
- Assist Marketing with feedback and sales strategies for the creation and development of Brand / New Product Launch trade decks
- Responsible for communicating Trade Decks and Sales releases including product launch information, specs, display program, ad mats, samples, and must stock lists update to include artwork creation of display, coupons, marketing materials and ad mats with agency
- Prepare tracking and feedback documents, provide pipeline targets, must stock lists, listing costs, display menu co-ordination
- Owner of Display Program Process from a Sales perspective and Development of Display Menu, Tracking display forecasts and sell through
- Participation in weekly display status meetings and tracking/managing slow moving display management
- Change to lead display meetings
- Track performance regarding specific Promotional Activities in banners (ex. Displays and other promo activity)
- Ensure proper utilization and maximization of Category Development Advisor role including category / plan-o-gram reviews, trade deck assistance, business reporting / scorecards
- Assists with timely Advertising & Promotion budget inputs and tracking
- Works with Promotional Review Committee (PRC) to approve promotional materials and develop claims that partner with brand strategy
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a related field required
- A minimum of one (1) year’ experience in CPG Marketing. Previous experience in marketing project leadership in a cross-functional environment.
- Knowledge of how to market products to drive revenue, including experience developing product positioning, consumer promotions and executing tactics according to plan
- Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills and business acumen
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with senior management, agency partners, retailers, sales teams and other internal marketing teams.
