**Department summary**

The University of Alberta is home to North America’s only freestanding Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. We provide academic training in rehabilitation science, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology. Our researchers lead their field in areas such as spinal cord injury, mental health, robotics, language development, and the impacts of COVID-19.

**Position summary**

This part-time (0.5 FTE) Research Coordinator position will work under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Co
- investigators to perform a variety of activities to coordinate the day-to-day operation of the research study. The incumbent work closely with the Research Program Manager, Research Assistants, and Collaborators.

**Duties**
- Assisting in the design and implementation of study protocols, procedures, instruments, and materials under the direction of the study team
- Preparing ethics submissions, renewals and amendments
- Monitoring and adhering to study timelines
- Scheduling and providing administrative support to the study team, for example, scheduling meetings and liaising with collaborating organizations on the team’s behalf
- Working with collaborators and partner agencies to recruit study participants
- Maintaining relationships with project collaborators internal and external to the university
- Providing instruction to research assistants
- Contributing to the content and preparation of presentations, study summaries, and the preparation of research publications
- Drafting monthly and quarterly reports to funders

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree with relevant certificate or training
- Experience working with children in an educational or education-related setting, or relevant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Multilingualism is preferred (English, French, + other language)
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary research environment
