**Position**

The Research and Survey Coordinator is responsible for providing support for research related School activities and ranking surveys and provides program specific support to the Associate Dean, Research (ADR) This position helps coordinate reporting of the School's research performance, maintains comprehensive faculty-wide research statistics are used for faculty reviews and published on the web site and School’s newsletter. It administers the School's internal awards processes, drafts notices of awards, processes salary supplements, assists faculty members with external awards information and proposal submission, reconciles research accounts, acts as first point of contact to all matters related to research.

This position is also responsible for planning and coordinating the collection of data from a number of shareholders in the School as well as in other units of the University. It sees the completion of a number of surveys required for public benchmarking of the School against international peers and in reputational support. Additionally, the Research and Survey Coordinator in charge of managing all the surveys that are part of the School’s accreditation process.

This position has a communications and marketing component. It works in consultation with the Communications Partner for website changes and updates. It designs and writes a biannual newsletter showcasing faculty members’ research publications, awards, internal and external media attention, etc. Additionally, it works with the Office of the Vice-President (ER) on matters related to reputation surveys.

**Duties**
- Creates and Maintains area/ program records, spreadsheets, reports & databases.
- Organizes meetings, conferences, seminars and special events on behalf of the area/program(s).
- Provides administrative support for standing and special meetings. Coordinates documents and agendas. Anticipates and prepares supporting materials. Distributes meeting minutes.
- Manages the research award committees to identify and determine internal awards, endowed chair appointments, and other university funding.
- Serves as recording secretary to area/ program Committees.
- Assists Faculty Members with external award competitions, research account issues, and advises how to meet criteria required to obtain research grants.
- Liaises Faculty Members and Research Service/Research Partners in the Office of the VPRI.
- Provides administrative support for the Associate Dean (Research).
- Acts as the first point of contact for PhD program and Faculty Members in all matters related to research.
- Screens, directs, prioritizes and processes phone, electronic and in person queries about programs from students, faculty and staff with respect to all research related activities and seeks information/answers from RSO or Provost’s office where needed.
- Maintains websites, blogs, or other social media devices. Creates new web pages when required. Updates information/ data within the content management system.
- Creates and maintains the School’s research webpages using Cascade.
- Creates and designs the School’s research newsletter, Research Focus, using Campaign Monitor.
- Assists with development, design, and production of publications on program(s) in accordance with established Faculty/ College/ University policies/procedures.
