**Who we need**

We are looking for a **Case Manager **to join our growing team. You will be accountable to adjudicate a portfolio of Long-Term Disability, Professional Overhead Expense, Life, AD&D and Critical Illness claims encompassing a full range of complex adjudication decisions. Specific responsibilities will include analyzing medical and occupational data plus financial information including statements of income and expense plus income tax returns. In addition, you will develop and implement return-to-work programs for the claimant and involves frequent contact with the claimant and collaboration with a team of medical consultants and rehabilitation field resources.

**What you will do**:

- ** Prioritize timely, empathetic, and accurate client experiences. **You will engage plan members through open and respectful communication to understand the medical, social and personal dimensions of their workplace absence. You will develop and maintain outcome-focused case management plans to help plan members return to work.
- ** Assess claims.** You will review contractual, financial, medical, functional and occupational information. You will conduct telephone interviews to obtain information to ensure a complete understanding of the absence and types of support required to assist with return-to-work planning. You will identify and assess medical and non-medical influencing factors pre and post-disability, functional capability, restrictions and limitations to better understand what support is needed to get plan members back to work.
- ** Determine and communicate eligibility.** You will collaborate with plan members, associations, lawyers, health care practitioners and other stakeholders to obtain information, provide claim status, create action plans and provide verbal and written decisions while maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
- ** Quality assurance.** You will meet and exceed our client service standards and adhere to our best practice guidelines. You will contribute to a rewarding work environment by identifying opportunities to improve processes and client service delivery.

- ** The experience. **You have previous disability management experience, assessing disability claims, and working with multiple disability products. You have outstanding critical thinking and stellar client service skills. You are highly analytical, meticulous and focused when working on complex claims and contracts. You have a positive attitude with a commitment to high-quality service, a respect for confidentiality, and a passion for solving problems.
- ** The interpersonal skills.** You have exceptional client management and service skills with the ability to build trusting relationships, influence decisions, and professionally manage stressful situations. You are an active listener with a capacity for empathy, and can deliver difficult news in a tactful and sensitive manner. You have excellent oral and written communication skills with the confidence to pose questions and present findings.
