Parkland School Division (PSD) is a large progressive school jurisdiction serving Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Fort Chipewyan and Parkland County. PSD meets the diverse educational needs of over 12,000 rural and urban students among 23 sites, including outreach schools and alternative education programs.

This role has a diverse mix of systems development, database management, and process improvement reflecting the Division-wide scope of our customers. This includes Student Information System support and Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) integrations, ecommerce, improvement projects, related training and other specialized systems
**Primary Responsibilities**:
Lead resource on the Student Information System, including reporting, data structure/quality, integration with all database driven systems, improvements, controls and the systems development roadmap.
Lead and Support Student Information Systems Team operations. Focused on quality assurance, developing and delivering appropriate training, resolving tier 3 issues, managing the key annual milestones (rollover, start-up, scheduling), communicate and liaise with stakeholders, and facilitate vendor support
Develop and implement best fit solutions and ensure the projects meet scope and timelines.
Assess technical challenges and risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
Report on operations and project status through the development of technical briefings.
Create and maintain technical documentation of all systems.
Lead and drive all projects related to the Student Information System.
Develop and execute service and systems improvements that create added value for stakeholders and generate financial benefits for the Division.
Implement and support e-commerce solutions to accelerate processes and empower users.
Other related duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
A Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or Bachelors in Commerce
Business Administration or equivalent post-secondary education
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Powerschool Student Information System
**Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of**:
Oracle and MS SQL systems and database management
Oracle, MS SQL query, scripting and Powerschool and Oracle reporting skills
.NET Application Development
Powerschool Application Development
accounting procedures and business principles
internal controls and risk management
Excellent organizational, planning, documentation and project management skills
The ability to take initiative and work independently with mínimal supervision
Solutions driven, out of the box thinker
Excellent interpersonal, written communication and presentation skills
Excellent team and customer service skills

School business or database management experience
Process improvement, project management, systems support/super-user experience
Change management/change agent experience
Previous Student Information System and ERP Experience
Project Management (PMP) Certification or Training
School Messenger Data Administration, Rycor Fees Data Administration
Windows Server Administration and Powershell Scripting

**Hours of Work**: 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday) flexibility in scheduling is available
