About Precision NanoSystems Inc. (PNI) Precision NanoSystems, Inc. (PNI) creates innovative solutions for the discovery, development and manufacture of novel nanoparticles for use as medicines and in medical research. PNI's proprietary NanoAssemblr platform enables the rapid, reproducible, and scalable manufacture of next-generation nanoparticle formulations for the targeted delivery of therapeutic and diagnostic agents to cells and tissues in the body. PNI provides instruments, reagents and services to life sciences researchers, including pharmaceutical companies, and builds strategic collaborations to revolutionize healthcare through nanotechnology. Position Summary Under the guidance of a Senior Research Associate and Team Lead, the Pre-Clinical Services Intern will be responsible for assisting the Bioassay Development team to develop various methods to determine the in vitro potency of lipid nanoparticles.

What you'll do:

- Refer to available literature to prepare study plans and participate in experimental design, problem-solving and technical discussions.
- Design and perform experiments to analyze the in-vitro potency of drug formulations using standard techniques such as western blot, flow cytometry and high-throughput microscopy.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reports and technical presentations.
- Assist with daily tasks in the lab such as cell culture maintenance, buffer preparation, ordering, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

- A third
- or fourth-year University Program in Biology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical and Biological Engineering, or relevant disciplines with hands-on experience in the laboratory.
- General knowledge of bioassay techniques.
- Experience with standard molecular biology techniques such as Western blots, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, qPCR, and nanoparticle chemistry/fundamentals is an asset.
- Hands on experience with maintaining cell cultures and standard tissue culture techniques is an asset.
- Resourceful, flexible, detail-oriented, organized and with excellent communication skills.

The salary range for this role is $18-25/hr CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
