Blue Mountain Resorts is the leading snowmaking resort within the area. The snowmaking department is primarily responsible for providing the snow base for the timely opening of Blue Mountain Resorts skiable terrain, for the ultimate guest experience. Thereafter the snow base and snow quality are to be continually monitored and maintained to provide consistent and predictable ski conditions. Our snowmakers are expected to work closely with several other departments, including Trail Grooming, Trail Maintenance, Ski Patrol and Special Events.

**YEAR ROUND- FULL TIME**

**WAGE- $20.50/HOUR**

**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**
- Start and stop snow guns.
- Make adjustments to snow guns.
- Make decisions on changes on hill as needed.
- Negotiate the property on snowmobile/RTV Side by Side (in accordance with company policy)
- Able to pay close attention to details and weather, to ascertain optimal conditions for snowmaking.
- Perform regular maintenance on snowmaking equipment.
- Work on summer maintenance and capital projects.

**WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?**
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Ski Resort Operations
- ** Must have valid G class drivers' license with satisfactory drivers' abstract.**:

- Must have experience operating snowmobile, operations on steep slopes an asset.
- Must be able to operate a range of equipment from simple handheld tools to power tools.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of equipment an asset.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Experience operating heavy equipment, from tractors to mini excavators.
- Must be able to follow established procedures and takes responsibility for completing assigned tasks.
- Familiarity with Blue Mountain trail systems and procedures is an asset.
