Corporate Development Analyst

**RWDI **is looking for a **Corporate Development Analyst** to join our growing **Mergers and Acquisitions team **in a full-time permanent position.
Reporting to the Vice President - Strategic Initiatives, the Corporate Development Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the research, pursuit and due diligence process associated with businesses joining RWDI via a merger or acquisition.
Location - We are open for this position to work from one of our offices in Canada or the US.
**Accountabilities and Responsibilities**:
- Working closely with other members of the team to ensure a world-class M&A capability is established to support RWDI's growth objectives. This is a junior/intermediate team member whose responsibilities span from the deal conception to closure, including:
- Developing an understanding of M&A target areas and search criteria based on strategy developed by RWDI’s Senior Leadership Team
- Conducting and presenting internally research on M&A target areas and prospective targets which positively and significantly impact the business bottom line and/or competitive position
- Preparing detailed research reports and internal reporting
- Supporting the development of pitch presentations and participation in presentations to prospective targets
- Coordinates and organizes information flow and conducting initial due diligence on potential acquisition targets. This includes sourcing inputs for valuation models and working closely with finance analyst who will be responsible for valuation
- Providing support to broad, multi-functional matrixed internal teams (HR, IT, Finance, Operations, Practice Area Leaders, Legal and other functional departments) that are assembled to work on due diligence and integration planning for specific transaction projects
- Supporting Vice President - Strategic Initiatives for a variety of ad-hoc strategic projects and initiatives, including CSR
**Must Haves**:
- Business knowledge and motivation to gain depth and fluency.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously - in a highly disciplined and organized style
- An ability and understanding for how to deliver on short time frames and be always committed to meeting deadlines
- High degree of proficiency in all MS Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistent results.
