**Analyst, Corporate Development**
**Job Overview**:
As the Corporate Development Analyst, reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development and M&A, this role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and business intelligence. The Corp Development Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth strategy by researching, identifying, and evaluating acquisition opportunities, while also contributing to the development of business analytics and insights.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Work collaboratively on all aspects of Corporate Development projects, spanning strategic fit, valuation, due diligence, regulatory compliance, and financial modeling.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders throughout the transaction process, including accountants, lawyers, and integration teams.
- Drive cross-functional issues to resolution and lead initiatives that enhance the efficiency of the Corporate Development team.
- Perform financial modeling, including projections, valuation analysis, and determining working capital targets.
- Solely monitor the due diligence and data-gathering process for acquisitions, overseeing the diligence data room.
- Prepare internal presentations and documents for proposed transactions and support the investment tracking process.
- Connect data sources, import data, and transform data to help the delivery of key business insights.
- Develop reports, and dashboards, using visualization and analysis tools to support business goals and initiatives (such as PowerBI).
- Understand business requirements and develop data models accordingly.
**Education, Training & Qualifications**:
- B.A. in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum one year of work experience in corporate development, private equity, data analytics / data insights or finance/strategic planning
**Skills & Abilities**:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling experience required), Word, PowerPoint, Python, SQL and Power BI.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to critically analyze financial statements.
- Analytical mindset with excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strategic thinking and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Ability to understand and translate large datasets into usable formats.
- Knowledge of Power Tools and writing DAX.
**Working Conditions**:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.
