**Salary**: $4,149.76 to $5,269.59 bi-weekly ($108,308 - $137,536/year)

Seniors, Community and Social Services provides supports for seniors, families and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, financial supports, affordable housing, services for the homeless, and other social-based programs. The Ministry supports Albertans through a person-centered, integrated service delivery model that recognizes the unique circumstances, experiences and strengths of individuals and families.

Housing Business Solutions is responsible for affordable housing options and services for Albertans most in need, and helping Alberta's aging population with supports that are inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of seniors to lead healthy lives in their homes and communities. The unit is also responsible for maintaining comprehensive information management strategies, documenting divisional processes, and fostering knowledge management strategies.

**Role Responsibilities**:
The role of the Director, Business Solution is integral to the organization’s success in today’s technology-driven landscape. Its existence serves several critical functions aimed at advancing the organizations mission and ensuring it remains competitive and efficient.

The Director, Digital Business Solutions provides strategic leadership in all aspects of the organization’s technology solutions and provides oversight to both the Digital Platforms and Solutions, and Business Intelligence teams. The position incudes leading the organization’s information management, information systems, and digital platforms and other related infrastructure. The Director is also the primary contract manager for a robust team of contingent labour. As such, they are responsible for identifying and evaluating the need for engaging contracted work, negotiating large dollar-amount IT based contracts, and ensuring the resources are properly managed and the objectives met on schedule. Overall, the Director’s leadership ensures the organization’s technology strategies align with its broader goals and objectives.

This position requires dedication to operational efficiency, process improvement, cost reduction, and streamlined service while prioritizing compliance and regulations. In essence, the Director, Digital Business Solutions role is multifaceted, encompassing strategic leadership, operational efficiency, risk management, collaboration, vendor management, and compliance. These functions collectively contribute to the organizations success and its ability to thrive in an increasingly technology-centric environment.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Recruitment Standards**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years proven leadership experience overseeing technology operations and strategy, ideally within a government or housing-related organization.

**Assets**:

- Certification (preferred): relevant certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), or others related to technology leadership and management.
