The Cloud Business Development Specialist will play a critical role in driving the growth of our cloud services and solutions by identifying, engaging, and nurturing potential clients. They will collaborate with Sentia marketing & sales management to develop & execute a structured business development strategy. In this role, the VP, Sales & Marketing will provide on-boarding and coaching to ensure you are set up for success in creating new business opportunities.

Your primary focus will be on building relationships, understanding client needs, and identifying opportunities to introduce Sentia and our exceptional talent, cloud offerings, capabilities & IT expertise to the Ontario marketplace. New pipeline and new customer acquisition will be the primary objective of this role working in partnership with Sentia’s marketing and sales management teams.

**Responsibilities**:
**Prospecting and Lead Generation**

a) Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including online research, social media, industry events, and referrals.

b) Leverage Sentia’s investment in marketing platforms to execute targeted business development to help drive services sales engagement and growth through new customer acquisition.

c) Proactively initiate contact with potential clients to introduce our cloud solutions and create interest.

**Business Development**:
a) Build and execute a services business development plan that will identify and target specific industries and customer markets with Sentia’s IT offerings and expertise

b) Conduct in-depth discovery conversations to uncover pain points and align our cloud offerings with the client's requirements.

c) Partner with leading vendors to execute business development initiatives

d) Act as a brand ambassador for Sentia and create a strong first impression with prospects

**Solution Presentation**:
a) Work with members of the sales and professional services teams to prepare and deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations that highlight the unique value propositions of our cloud services.

b) Effectively communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- **Relationship Building**:
a) Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision makers and influencers within client organizations.

b) Serve as a trusted advisor by providing insights, recommendations, and guidance throughout the sales process.

**Pipeline Management**:
a) Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.

b) Manage the sales pipeline to ensure consistent progress toward achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.

**Collaboration**:
a) Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, solution architects, and technical support, to ensure seamless customer experience and solution delivery.
- **Market Intelligence**:
a) Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to cloud services.

b) Utilize market insights to adapt sales strategies and positioning to better address client needs.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2+ years experience in customer service.
- 1 - 2 years experience in sales.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a B2B technology sales environment, preferably cloud services.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, technologies, and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility with clients.
- Self-motivated and proactive attitude with a strong desire to take initiative and drive results.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, teamoriented environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for efficient pipeline management.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events, as needed.
