About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of professional and support staff, as well as students, to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas, fostering economic growth and development.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify venture capital sources, capitalize on opportunities, and advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies.
  • Engage with members of the business community to provide expert guidance on development opportunities, ensuring timely responses to their inquiries.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop social and economic profiles of areas to encourage industrial and commercial investment, leveraging data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies.
  • Analyze consumer buying habits and preferences, using this knowledge to optimize marketing efforts and drive results.
  • Co-ordinate special publicity events and promotions, harnessing the power of marketing to create lasting impressions.
  • Prepare communications materials, reports, brochures, and other content to effectively convey key messages and objectives.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an advertising, marketing, and public relations agency is preferred.
  • Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to manage a team of 3-4 people.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Proficiency in computer software and internet access, with the ability to adapt to new technologies as needed.

Estimated Salary Range
