**About You**

We are looking to hire a Business Development Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers hybrid arrangements, but you must be able to commute to our office in Markham. It also assumes you have some prior experience in a business environment working in E-Commerce with business development. The ability to comprehend and communicate technical requirements is essential.

To be successful in this role, you must be self motivated, well organized, have a keen eye for details, have great interpersonal skills, and be effective in verbal and oral communication. Most of all, you must be a driven individual who takes initiative and is seeking to excel in achieving personal and organizational growth.

Skills Requirements
- Strong understanding of marketing concepts and digital marketing trends including Hootsuite and Meta
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Experience in using CRM software such as Kindful and HubSpot
- Experience working with not-for-profit organizations.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- A deep understanding of client needs and the ability to tailor solutions accordingly

Job duties (for each position, if advertising is for more than 1 vacancy)
- Research and identify potential clients and markets in need of branding, digital marketing, IT, media, and e-commerce solutions
- Develop the sales and marketing budget for the organization, in collaboration with our finance department and monitor the expenses to ensure targets are being met
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients while exploring innovative ways to offer them supplementary services
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market conditions and recognize potential opportunities to enhance business strategies. Collaborate with the president to formulate and execute innovative strategies
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align business development efforts with marketing strategies
- Generate leads through various channels, including cold outreach.

Non-profit Clients
- Maintain and grow a strong donor and supporter database for our not for profit clients.
- Identify potential donors, sponsors, and partners interested in supporting international projects for our clients
- Make persuasive sales pitches and presentations to potential supporters, businesses, and donors
- Implement fundraising initiatives and campaigns within the local community for our Non Profit Organizations

What You'll Get To Do:

- As a member of our delivery team, you will work closely with a variety of people across the agency, including project managers, designers and developers
- Participate in workshops to get to the crux of client needs, while keeping the project process, client expectations, and team capabilities in mind
- Conscientiously manage project budgets and timelines while meeting objectives and producing quality deliverables
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and technologies in project management, marketing, design, and development
