Accounting Coordinator

**The Role**

We are looking for an Accounting Coordinator with strong organizational and interpersonal skills to join a dynamic team at our dog-friendly home office in Vaughan. We aim to provide outstanding accounting support to our family of clinics, so that veterinarians can focus on what they do best.
The role will report directly to the Senior Corporate Accountant. Some of the Accounting Coordinator’s responsibilities include assisting with account reconciliations and month-end closing. If you are looking for a flexible and high growth work environment, this is the role for you
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of journal entries for month-end, quarter-end and year-end along with supporting documentation for accuracy and financial integrity
- Assist with account reconciliations and month-end closing
- Creation and maintenance of Cash Sheets
- Obtain, organize, and check clinic reports to ensure they meet the Accounting team’s requirements
- Assist with requests from external auditors during the year-end audit and internal departments such as Corporate Development and Operations
- Maintain shared inboxes and online file sharing platforms used by the Accounting Team
- Perform data validation as part of new IT initiatives
- Completion of ad-hoc projects as assigned by senior account and/or management
**Background, Experience and Qualifications**
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
- Post secondary degree in accounting
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
- NetSuite and/or Google Suite experience is considered an asset
- Detail-oriented, organized, good time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude, willingness to be flexible, desire to contribute to team objectives
- Comfortable working in a dog friendly office
